Welcome to the Library Plus pages! SERVICES OFFERED BY SOUTH TARANAKI LIBRARIES: The total district collection holds 99,000 items including: Fiction and non-fiction titles for readers of all ages Talking books Visitor and tourist information Reference books Council information, booklets, draft plans for comment and completed plans Audio CDs and DVDs A selection of national newspapers and magazines Free public internet access. Photocopying facilities. The charges are: 30 cents for A4 single- and double-sided 40 cents for A3 single- and double-sided - Please note colour printing service not available for Hawera Library Plus Public computers for word-processing and printing. Printing charges are: $1.50 per page for colour printing 30 cents per page for black-and-white printing Display boards for community notices and events. Come in and catch up on community events or put up a notice about your group's events! The Hawera library also offers a Family and Local History Room. LIBRARYPLUS BLOG The LibraryPlus Blog (http://www.libraryplus.blogspot.com/) is full of information, book reviews, events and links to other sites. It is refreshed everyday by Penelope Plus, the Blog Librarian. JOINING A SOUTH TARANAKI DISTRICT COUNCIL LIBRARY It's easy to join a South Taranaki District Library! All you need to do is come to see us at your nearest branch and fill in a library membership form. All we need is: - Identification that carries your signature (ie, your drivers' licence or your bankcard) - Documentation that proves your residential address (ie, an electricity account, a telephone account, a rent book or a rates demand). We can then welcome you as a member of South Taranaki District Libraries. Your membership entitles you to borrow items from any of the South Taranaki district libraries. Membership for children under the age of 16 requires parental/guardian consent. PIN NUMBERS: By putting your individual PIN on your card you can access the online library to reserve and renew books. OTHER INFORMATION DISTRICT REQUEST Your library can request books for you from any other library in the South Taranaki district. You can also request items yourself by using the online catalogue from a terminal in the library or, if you have access to the internet, from your own computer at home. There is no cost for this service. INTERLOAN SERVICE WITH LIBRARIES IN OTHER DISTRICTS We are happy to search for a book in other libraries in New Zealand for you. The minimum fee is $7.50 including postage. SERVICE FOR RESTHOME AND HOUSEBOUND READERS This service provides books to customers who are unable to visit a library for health reasons. We visit individuals and resthomes. Just ask at your local Library Plus. BOOK RENEWAL You can renew your books by: calling us on 0800 111 323 or accessing the online catalogue from any computer terminal at Library Plus or with access to the internet.
