Welcome to the Library Plus pages! Welcome to the South Taranaki District Council Library Plus Pages! The South Taranaki District Council provides library services throughout the district. There are seven libraries in the district: Hawera Eltham Kaponga Manaia Opunake Patea Waverley At Eltham, Kaponga, Manaia, Opunake, Patea and Waverley your library services are delivered from the same building as your council services. The Council's libraries carry more than 900,000 books and issue approximately 280,000 books every year. Our collections include audio cassettes, CDs, DVDs, videos and a we provide a free public internet service. WiFi hotspots are available at every LibraryPlus. The District Collection holds 99,000 items including: Fiction and non-fiction titles for readers of all ages Talking books Visitor and tourist information Reference books Council information, booklets, draft plans for comment and completed plans Audio CDs and DVDs A selection of national newspapers and magazines Services Available: Free internet access Public computers for word-processing Photocopying and faxing facilities Public information boards Housebound services Preschool programmes School holiday programmes Book clubs for juniors and seniors Coffee mornings Crossword mornings Local history collection at Hawera Microfilm and fiche reader at Hawera We look forward to seeing you!
