The council has access to the services of Significant Natural Areas Officer Neil Phillips. Neil Phillips is a dairy farmer and QEII Trust representative. He is available to all members of the community who would like to know more about formally protecting and managing indigenous vegetation on their land. He is able to sign landowners up for formal covenant protection of indigenous vegetation on their land and to recommend financial support from the Council for vegetation protection where appropriate.
