Parking in South Taranaki towns is mostly free and without time constraints. The time restrictions that exist are in the main shopping centres. Disabled parking spaces and five and fifteen-minute parking spaces are available in the central business districts of towns.
Parking officers are employed in Hawera and Eltham to ensure motorists comply with parking restrictions set out in the Parking Control & Traffic Flow Bylaw 2000. Their role is to ensure an even flow of traffic through the central business districts. |
