Provision of Water in South Taranaki The Council operates ten separate urban schemes. The Council also operates three rural schemes. The Inaha, Waimate West and Pope Schemes provide potable water suitable for dairy farming and domestic purposes. The towns of Kaponga and Manaia are supplied from the Waimate West Scheme.
